ϟGeneral Rules

With every forum out there, they will always come a set of rules or a guide to show how the staff would like the members of the forum to behave and these rules are expected to be followed. Please take your time and read through them so everyone can have a good time.

▼ RESPECT

Be respectful to anyone you talk and RP with on this site. I mean it, this isn't a joke. We expect everyone to have respect for others, and if you really do not have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all. Playful sarcasm and such is fine, but do not take it too far. We really do not want any drama to start, so just be nice and we'll all have fun.


▼ Plagiarism
Plagiarism will not be tolerated here on Naruto Revelation. If you are found to be plagiarizing from others, we ask you to remove the contents or the admins will do it for you.


▼ Trolling
Trolling is stupid to do anywhere and something we do not appreciate. Trolling is internet slang for someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. So please do not do this otherwise you will get a warning on the forum and if it continues, you will be banned from Naruto Revelation, you have been warned. Playful banter is perfectly fine, but don't intentionally try to piss someone off.


▼ Text Speak
Text Speak is not acceptable while making IC posts on Revelation. For the issue with spelling, there are MANY different browsers with automatic spell check. If you are not making an IC post (ex. cbox, OOC post except for Applications) you can talk and spell however you want.


▼ One Account per Character
Exactly as it says, each character you make will have its own account. You are required to link your character's profile in your signature. Staff members will have Staff Accounts for Modding purposes only.


▼ Avatars and Signatures
Forum avatars are allowed to be the maximum of 100 width and 100 height. Signatures must be 500 width and 300 height and no longer nor higher so that the forum does not stretch.


▼ Liquid Time
Liquid Time is applied to all of Naruto Revelation. This allows you to post in more than one thread at the same time. HOWEVER, there is an exception to this: You can only be on one mission at a time. We don't want just one person taking all of the missions at a single time. Once you finish your current mission, feel free to grab another one.


▼ Power Playing
Power Playing highly frowned upon. This is where you force-hit or take control of another RPer’s character. If any issues arise with this, please contact a Site Mod or Admin.


▼ God-Modding
God-Modding is when characters are indestructible and are impossible to defeat. Your character cannot have powers that are so powerful that you can easily kill everyone with a flick of your wrist.


▼ Rating ~ PG-13
We allow profanity, sex, drugs, etc. We believe in taking on a realistic approach to Naruto Revelation. However, when it comes to sexual acts, please go by the “fade to the back” rule. This means the post will not actively describe the sexual acts, but the text that it is/had happened. If you cannot follow this rule, then please - refrain from your characters having sex at all.


▼ Finished Threads
Please make a note in the TITLE of the thread when it is finished. That way staff can notice and move the thread to the Archives. Adding [FINISHED] to the beginning or end of a Thread Title is a common and accepted method.


▼ Post Pestering
Constantly asking for replies and/or to check applications is probably one of the worst RPing offenses you can make. Patience is a virtue here. However, if it has been three or more days without a response from a member or staff on this site, then you are allowed to POLITELY remind them.


▼ Names
Since we allow more than one character per person, we require every account to be named after the character that account is associated with. You can change your account name by going to your profile and changing your display name.


▼ Character Deaths
We don't allow killing unless both people agree to a death beforehand. However, seeing as how deaths can help with plots, you are allowed to kill NPC characters. This rule is necessary because we want our site to be fun and to build stories. The only exception is on "Death Enabled Missions", where if you would be legitimately killed by an NCP or other Member, you're out of luck. We feel this gives the RP experience more excitement as you would need to be careful of each decision, just like in the actual Naruto Universe. The Staff does take this very seriously however, and will assist you with suggestions to save yourself if you request it. If you think your character was not killed in a legitimate manner, you are free to contact an Admin to be a third party judge. However, by doing this you are accepting of what the Admin's overall decision will be, whether or not it is in your favor.
