ϟHow To Create Your Character: Jutsu

Jutsu is a very important part of being a ninja. With Jutsu, you can turn your character from zero to hero! Remember though, just having powerful Jutsu won't guarantee victory.



-When making your character, you will need to post a "Jutsu List" in the "Character Jutsu List" Board for that character. This will list all of your character's jutsu and make an easy reference for you and other members. For more information on the Jutsu Lists, please visit the Rules for Jutsu Listings.



-No matter what, a character automatically starts off with the "Basic Jutsu" granted by the Ninja Academy. These Jutsu include:

• Body Flicker Jutsu
  
• Clone Jutsu
  
• Escape Jutsu
  
• Substitution Jutsu
  
• Disguise Jutsu
  
• Generic Sealing Technique

-Your character will start off with a set amount of jutsu depending on their age and rank. Everything regarding Starting Jutsu is listed below.

Genin

• Ages 6 to 9 can start with 3 D/C-Rank Jutsu
  
• Ages 10 to 13 can start with 5 D/C-Rank Jutsu
  
• Ages 14 and older can start with 5 D/C-Rank Jutsu and 1 B-Rank Jutsu

Chunin

• Ages 16 to 20 can start with 6 D/C-Rank Jutsu and 2 B-Rank Jutsu
  
• Ages 20 to 23 can start with 6 D/C-Rank jutsu and 2 B-Rank Jutsu and 1 A-Rank Jutsu
  
• Ages 23 and older can start with 8 D/C-Rank Jutsu and 3 B-Rank Jutsu and 1 A-Rank Jutsu

Jonin

• Ages 20 to 25 can start with 8 D/C-Rank Jutsu, 3 B-Rank Jutsu and 1 A-Rank Jutsu
  
• Ages 25 to 30 can start with 8 D/C-Rank Jutsu, 4 B-Rank Jutsu, 2 A-Rank Jutsu, and 1 S-Rank Jutsu
  
• Ages 35 and older can start with 8 D/C-Rank Jutsu, 6 B-Rank Jutsu, 3 A-Rank Jutsu, and 1 S-Rank Jutsu

C-Rank Rouge

• Ages 6 to 9 can start with 3 D/C-Rank Jutsu
  
• Ages 10 to 13 can start with 5 D/C-Rank Jutsu
  
• Ages 14 and older can start with 5 D/C-Rank Jutsu and 1 B-Rank Jutsu

B-Rank Rouge

• Ages 16 to 20 can start with 6 D/C-Rank Jutsu and 2 B-Rank Jutsu
  
• Ages 20 to 23 can start with 6 D/C-Rank jutsu and 2 B-Rank Jutsu and 1 A-Rank Jutsu
  
• Ages 23 and older can start with 8 D/C-Rank Jutsu and 3 B-Rank Jutsu and 1 A-Rank Jutsu

A-Rank Rouge

• Ages 20 to 25 can start with 8 D/C-Rank Jutsu, 3 B-Rank Jutsu and 1 A-Rank Jutsu
  
• Ages 25 to 30 can start with 8 D/C-Rank Jutsu, 4 B-Rank Jutsu, 2 A-Rank Jutsu, and 1 S-Rank Jutsu
  
• Ages 35 and older can start with 8 D/C-Rank Jutsu, 6 B-Rank Jutsu, 3 A-Rank Jutsu, , and 1 S-Rank Jutsu

NOTE: Kage and S-Rank Rouges can only be made with Admin Permission by experienced RP'ers. If you are experienced, you should know what a fitting balance of jutsu should be.

ϟHow To Create Your Character: Weapons

-All characters start out with the following weapons:

• Kunai - 10
  
• Shuriken - 15
  
• Ninja Wire - 2 uses
  
• Exploding Tags - 5
  
• Smoke Bombs - 3
  

-You may additionally start with one of the following three options:

• Makabishi Spikes - 2 uses
  
• Senbon - 10
  
• Ninja Wire - +3 uses
  

-You may additionally have up to two C-Rank Poisons or Medical Equipment if you have the "Puppet Master" or "Medical Ninja" Special Skill, respectively.

-Whenever you use an item in combat, note down at the bottom of the post on how many of what item you have used throughout the thread. All items and weapons get replenished at the end of each thread.

-When purchasing weapons, you are only allowed to buy weapons that your character can use.

• Genin can only use D/C-Rank Weapons
  
• Chunin can use B-Rank or Lower-Rank Weapons
  
• Jonin can use A-Rank or Lower-Rank Weapons
  
• Kage can use S-Rank or Lower-Rank Weapons

ϟHow To Create Your Character: Special Skills

Special Skills are what makes your character unique from others. They are what your Character is above average at or a Skill that is uncommon to the normal Ninja. For a list of existing Special Skills, please visit the Special Skills Info here.



-Special Skills cannot be removed from your character after they are approved, unless something happens to the character to where they physically cannot utilize the Special Skill. Your Special Skill will increase in efficiency whenever your Ninja Rank is increase.
[[For example; If you have a Genin with increased speed levels, this will enhance your character's speed to above most Genin. However, when your character is promoted to Chunin, your speed will change to be above most Chunin.]]



-A character has a max amount of Special Skills depending on their Ninja Rank:

• Genin have a max of 3 Special Skills
• Chunin have a max of 4 Special Skills
• Jonin have a max of 5 Special Skills
• Kage have a max of 6 Special Skills

-There are a few rules concerning Special Skills:

• A Jinchūriki cannot have the "Chakra Control+" or "Chakra Flow" Special Skill due to the wildness of the Bijū's Chakra. (This rule does not apply if your Character is in perfect control with their Bijū. This however will be a rare achievement and will not be approved by staff easily.)
• A character cannot have Bijū strength Chakra Levels (aka Pseudo-Jinchūriki)
• No God-Mod Special Skills such as "Immortality"

-Remember, when creating a custom Special Skill, detail in the description is the key. Every word helps us as staff to Approve them, and members to understand them.

ϟHow To Create Your Character: Sub-Styles

When making your character, you will have to chose a Primary Style of Jutsu for your Character to use. Everyone is aware of the three main styles of Jutsu; Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and Taijutsu. However, these can be broken down farther into what we call "Sub-Styles".

Sub-Styles are techniques that usually fall under a smaller umbrella. Examples of these are Bukijutsu (Weapon Techniques), Shurikenjutsu (Thrown Weapon Techniques), Kenjutsu (Sword Techniques), and Nintaijutsu (Taijutsu incorporating Ninjutsu). Any Justu of the Sub-Styles will also be part of the three Main Styles, and any of these Sub-Styles can be selected as your Primary Style. You may now be asking "Why would I pick a Sub-Style as my Primary when I could just pick Ninjutsu and use any Sub-Style that falls under Ninjutsu?". Well that is a good question, and here is the answer! If you pick a Sub-Style as your Character's Primary Style, your Character will receive a specific bonus. This bonus represents the focus that is put into using the Sub-Style, and can range from additional bonus gear, to bonus traits and Special Skills depending on the Sub-Style chosen! You can find a list of Sub-Styles and their corresponding bonuses below.


Shurikenjutsu- Your Character has the "Weapons Expert" Special Skill in addition to the normal amount of Special Skills, and double the normal amount of Shuriken and Kunai when starting.

Bukijutsu- Your Character has the "Weapons Expert" Special Skill in addition to the normal amount of Special Skills, and one non-'Blade' Type weapon when starting.

Nintaijutsu- Your Character has the "Chakra Control" Special Skill in addition to the normal amount of Special Skills when starting.

Kenjutsu- Your Character has the "Chakra Control" Special Skill in addition to the normal amount of Special Skills, and one 'Sword' Type weapon when starting.

Medical Ninjutsu- Your Character has the "Medical Ninja" and "Chakra Control" Special Skills in addition to the normal amount of Special Skills when starting.

Puppetry- Your Character has the "Puppet Master" Special Skill in addition to the normal amount of Special Skills, and one "Puppet" Weapon when starting.

Tessenjutsu- Your Character has one 'Fan' Type Weapon when starting.

Kayakujutsu- Your Character has 15 "Explosive Tags" when starting.
